I have decided upon building my mojave to race at my local track (Tunnell Hill Ga.). Anywayz i have figured out all my frame/body modifications i wish to make, exept A-Arms. I can't find a company that makes A-Arms for my quad. Another question is do i really even need after market A-Arms? Keep in mind that i will be running a durablue +4" axle in the rear. Would my quad be off-balance without extended A-Arms. Thank you for any replys. ( keep in mind that i'm a rookie )

I believe that Idaho ATV is the only company currently selling extended A-arms for the Mojave. If you cant afford or find them than maybe you could try a set of Durablue extensions or a different offset on the front wheels (or both). Best of luck, Aaron.

I'm looking into wheel spacers, at the time I noticed one to two and a half inches spacers, they were made by dura-blue.
I've seen white brothers carry them for 79.99 a set.
My local accessory shop sells them for 74.99.
If you priced a-arms yet you know this is alot cheeper way to find out what you want.

Mojaveaddict!....maybe we will be able to square off at TunnelHill GA!!! I plan on racing the fall series there with Chattanooga MX.

The first set of IdahoATV control arms they made for me as a prototype got trashed when I wadded pretty hard at Loretta Lynn's last month. Mike at IdahoATV.com, who is my title sponsor, has another set made for me. I haven't seen them, but this is the description...

Configuration - +3 wide, +1 forward
Material - 1" Chromolly tubing
Adjustments - Caster/camber - HD Heim joints top and bottom.
Estimated travel - 11"

I use a set of Works triple rate shocks with rezzies for a 250R. I will have them next week. I will be posting pics of them, as well as a price for the production units, after then.

mojaveadict, have you been to Calhoun Supercross in Calhoun GA before? Email me bro!

mojaveadict, this is mojaveaddict (the original). Thought you were going to change your user name to eliminate confusion? Anyway, A arms used to be available from Burgard and Lagears for the mojave. I do not know if they still are or not, but Burgard had them when I last checked about a year ago. The Burgards do not fit very good, or at least that is the word from the folks that have tried them. Running reverse offset rims (or turning your stock ones around) widens the front a good bit and works pretty good but does not give added travel and adjustable caster and camber like a set of good aftermarket arms will. I would stay away from spacers, especially on the front as they can put excessive loads on the outer wheel bearings and spindles. It becomes much easier to bend a spindle.

The swing arm Lurch has from idaho looks good and is probably a good indication that the a arms will be of excellent quality. However, I have sent emails to Idahoatv from their web sight for info on mojave swing arms and they do not respond. Lurch, whats up with that?

Bottom line is: there is no substitute for good extended aftermarket a arms, but if you don't have the big bucks to spend on them offset wheels are the best thing to do.

Do not use offset wheels and spacers together!

I just spoke to Mike at IdaoATV.com at told him your concerns. He should be contacting you guys tonight. Email him again to make sure he gets it. He's been at the Fabricator's late everynight the last two weeks getting my new control arms/swingarm/anti-vibe steering stem completed.

IdahoATV is my main sponsor. All the stuff for the Mojave are brand new designs. The swingarm is availible in a variety of configurations. The steering stem is a new design and I will be testing it before it goes into production. The new control arms are of a completely new design also. Heim joints top and bottom, man...I can't wait. When I get through testing these products, which will last about 3 weeks, a production unit should be made. Remember, both he and the chief fabricator both are racers so they want to make sure that the product they release will be a product that will stand up to the abuse. That's why the first set of arms were trashed and a new design was drawn out.

Can I answer any questions???
