I plan on putting 27in. Tri-Claws and Bi-Claws on my 650. I know they will have plenty of fender clearence, but I don't know how much clearence I will have between the rear right tire and the gas tank cover. I have heard of guys taking the cover off to put 28 Outlaws on,but I dont want to take off the cover. I know that putting on a lift-kit would do away with this problem, but I would rather put spacers on than a lift kit if they dont fit. Because I plan on riding on step hills with the stock tires and dont want to be jacked up so high.I did see the 650 with 589's and no lift but there are bigger side walls on the Tri's. If anyone has 27in. Tri claws on the rear of a 650 would you please let me know if I must have wheel spacers.

Thanks very much,
Ryan

A guy that I ride with had the 27" Tri Claws on his 650 and he had to use the wheel spacers to clear the gas tank.
