A guy told me his 650 was 7mph faster without the airbox lid on (the dealer left it off, he rode it, then the dealer apologized and put it back on). Ha! Sounds like a good deal of power is still waiting to be unleashed.

Anyone know why I can not or should not make a few holes in the airbox lid?

Will it make it less able to ride in water? Is the air there too hot? Void my warranty?
