How loud is the race series? Is it as loud as a whitebrothers e-series.
I have the quite core right now but plan on buying the race core. I love loud pipes. Has anyone ever changed them i'm sure it isn't that hard? This is on a Lakota?

I have the Supertrapp Race series on my Mojave. It's fairly quiet until you really get on it. I have pictures on my seb site, www.racewebcreaions.com, of it. Check it out.

lurch,
I have a race core and it looks nothing like yours.
But I've been meaning to ask you what type of pipe that is.

The race core is like lurch says pretty tame untill you start getting on it pretty hard.

Well guys....if you didn't already know, Mickey Dunlap had my quad for 2 months getting it ready for the magazine article. The exhaust is a standard race exhaust with a billet "stinger" end cap on it instead of the standard Supertrapp one. I think they cost $100. The head pipe is also a custom Four Strok Tech header. It sounds different than the Supertrapp head pipe. Mickey custom bent it to match the motor work he did. It sounds meaner, but still tame. MAN THAT THING IS FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!. Call Supertrapp about the end cap. Anymore questions I can answer?

The reason Gaff's does not look like Lurch's is that Lurch has the 4 inch series and Gaff and most of you other guys have the 3 inch IDS series. I have one of each on my two Mojaves, both have race cores. The 4 inch is slightly louder than the IDS. Both are loud when you get on it and both have a good deep tone. The 4 inch would get the nod for all out racing but there is no real noticeable difference in performance. the race core IDS is better than the quiet core IDS for top end power and is louder.

I have had both on the same bike and I have to say that the race core is a lot louder and did produce more power after I rejetted for the core change. It is pretty easy to switch, but you will have to drill the 2 emblem rivets to get it out.
