I sold my buddy my 88 mojave last year. Before i sold it to him i replaced both cams, head, piston, valves, seats, springs, cam chain, cam chain tensioner, and everything else in the top end. We have always had a problem keeping the valves adjusted. When they didn't tighten up it would run fine, then as they tighten you couldn't kick start it. Now the cams have been flattened. What are the best cams to run? Do they make a high lift cam for these bikes? What is the best big bore kit to run? He is thinking about the 330 kit but it looks like a lot of money. Is it worth it? Thanks for the help.

Before you do any thing replace the oil pump, it sounds like thier is a problem getting the oil to the top end.
Powroll and four stroke tech make big bore kits.
Also install a honda XR crank case breather filter, and then run amsoil 0W-40 atv oil in it.
The big bore kits need good lube on the top end, and so far it sounds like this may be a peoblem with this bike!!!!

Powroll doesn't make a big bore kit, they used to. Now they just have a stroker kit. I think the four stroke tech kit would be worth it,theirs an 80cc gain,he'll love it.

I talked to powroll before, and they kind of got commercialized, don't get me wrong thier a graet bunch of guys, but they told me that the sales of kawis were so little that they had no desire to work with them.
But like I said I know them, thier very compettitive, if you want a kit they will make one for you, I hope, I know them good I'm almost sure they will.

Call Mickey Dunlap at Four Stroke Tech. He did a wicked job on my Mojave. His number is (814)842-6159. Good Luck!

Mickey installed his full-on race cams. I don;t know what "stage" of porting he did. All I know is that thing will just flat out haul booty!!! I think it may be the fasted Mojave in Georgia. I jumped a 45' double with 30' of run from a dead stop last Saturday. Man, that was fun!
