How to take a test ride?
#1
OK, I am fairly convinced that I want to buy the 650 but I still have one small issue... I want to test ride it! I have a hard time shelling out 6K for a quad I can't test ride. All of the Kawi dealers say it is illegal to let me ride it. All of the Polaris dealers don't seem to care. What gives?

Totally opposite here. I went to a few Polaris dealers to try and ride the 700, but they treat them like gol d@mn Gold. They barely wanted to start it up for me. On the other hand, I went to plenty of Kawi dealers and they just say, "the key is in it, go ahead". When I test rode a 650 the first time, evrything was ice and snow so I couldn't really feel the power, but I still liked the machine.
I'm not sure how old you are, but that may have something to do with it if you are young. I always bring my dad with me so the dealer feels a little better about it. I'm 22.

Hmmm, thanks for the advice Roofer. I think you might be on to something with the age thing. I am 23. My wife is 32 and they won't let her test one either. The laws in Cali are too strict. Well, I'm not going to buy it until I ride it so they are losing customers. He did say I could putt around in the parking lot if I put down money. That might be what I have to do.
