my locker isnt working correctly here is what happens:

i pull the locker lever going straight(in 4wd), nothing. if i am crawling along(less than 5mph) and i turn to the left or right THEN pull the lever, i can feel it engage and it tries to pull the tires straight. BUT, when i get in a situation where one wheel is digging while the other is in the air(with lock on), nothing happens. its like the locker isnt working.

Just a hunch, but maybe the lever isn't adjusted properly and isn't pulling the cable far enough. It shouldn't be anything electrical because the locker is mechanical. Another thought may be that the cable is pinched somewhere in the handle bars being that it changes when you turn. Now that I think about it, that is probably the problem. Let us know what you find.

snorkeled everything could have something to do with it, that type of mudding about killed my friend's Recon.

 

no, i havent gotten water in my front and/or rear diff or motor..

 

Probably just a small cable problem. I would doubt that it would be anything internally in the differential. Its probably just not getting all the slack out. My guess would be an easy thing to fix.

Now if I was an a$$, I would have said "Throw it away, get a Grizzly". But of course there is no means for that. I used to have choke cable trouble on my honda all the time, and it was an easy fix.

 

the part where the cable attaches to the diff is adjustable, and if i get some time i will do it today.

 

Yeah , sounds like too much slack.Takes some of it out when he turns the bars.

I guess you don't make adjustments on Hondas,,,Sounds like you just throw them away!!??

 

My honda buddies would not appreciate those remarks.
