Lakota Steering Stabilizer??
#3
Hi,
Doesn't the Lakota share the same frame as a Mojave? I thought I read the only main difference is the motor and a different rear swingarm. Check with some parts places and see if a Mojave stabilizer will fit. Just a guess, hope that helps.

I put wheel spacers on the lakota and ever since, the bump steer is terrible!
One other thing, did anyone put a carb mount K&N filter on? If so could I have a part #. Ever since I got the 330 kit from FST it feels like it needs to breath better. I think the air box is junk. I'd bet you could gain a HP or 2 by doing a direct mount filter.
Thanks

inthwnd has purchased the stabalizer for the mojave, he said that he could not figure out how to install it on the lakota. He has had the stabalizer for quite some time so I'm sure alot of poeple have looked at it.
A stage 3 K&N air filter (wich is a direct connect filter) is ordered by measuring the bell on the rear of the carb and then they will size it to thier universal filters that they keep in stock. Alot of times if you just tell them it is a 32mm keihin CV carb they will have it in there computer on what size it is, other times they will just tell you to measure the bell.
I am putting my 322 kit together now, when you did yours did you port and pollish the head and lap the valves, this is were I found the restriction on the lakotas flow. Also did you remove the snorkle cap under the front hood of the quad, this is a major difference.
I have widen my front end by 3", I find the handling to be awsome compare to stock, but the stabalizer is needed and I only give it a few more months before I just weld the one on off my drag bike if I don't find one.
Tell me more about your 330 kit and what likes and dislikes you have.
Oh also, honing 1.5mm out of your carb will help the flow as well.
