the mojave is faster by about 3mph or less. the lakota does have an edge in the track because of the wider base. the lakota is a bit heavy but with about $350 you can really improve it. (i love my lakota)

the lakota is a good all around machine if you wanna race a mo will take a little $ to widen it but the mojaves engine is much more advanced it has liquid coolin dohc 4 valve either one would make a good quad but i fell the mojave is also alot quicker to get up to speed

Can anyone tell me if the axle bearings are the same in them. I'm thinking they are i have looked in books and all they offer them for is a mojave. and i need them for the lakota.

bigbad, the axle bearings are the same. the axle is the same too, you can put a wider aftermarket mojave axle in a lakota. rocky mountain atv has bearings and seals for a good price or go to a local bearing dist to get some. if you buy them from a dealer you will pay for 3 bearings for every one you get.
