I'm going to get a set of 27 inch ITP 589 for my 650. I was wondering if anybody out in forum land has a set on their wheeler already? If so could you let me know how you like them. I want to know if they have robbed power from the machine, and how is the ride and handling of the 650 now that you have the ITP's on. Thanx a bunch.

Probably not much help, but I have Titan 589 MT's on my Xplorer. They measure almost exact to specs on 12x7 wheels. They are a little heavy for the 400, but probably not bad on the 650. They sure do go through the mud though, very impressive. They also handle good on hard pack. I drove it like a sport quad most of the time, and it went through the endless swamps too. They rode kinda tough, only because they are 6 ply. There is another guy on atvnation that has 27" ITP's. He has pics at monsteratvs.com I think.

I have 27x9x12 and 27x11x12 on mine, and think they are great. Not to much on hard pack though, makes it kinda ruff. Most of the time I keep it in 4wd because they throw so much dirt around, it helps to have traction in the front on em. Other than that, they are awesome.

I had them on my 2000 Xplorer 400. They work great where traction is needed ( mud, snow, etc) but for trail riding, I did not like them, I found them to ride rather rough. I ran them for about 3 months and sold them to a friend of mine who also has an Xplorer 400. I just picked up a 650 Kawi last week, and will most likely try mud bugs on it, from what I hear those are a better all around tire. But if you do you nothing but ride in mud and snow, you'll like the 589's.

I just put 26" ITP 589s on my H.O. (front-26x9x12) (rear-26x12x10) on factory wheels. With 4 pound of air pressure they trail ride pretty good but you cant expect 6 ply tires to ride as smooth as factory tires. These tires are exallent in the mud and will go now where it couldn't go before. Only one problem I found with the ITPs is that with 4 pounds of air the fronts measure 25" and rears only 24" Not a problem though because I still have 12" ground clearance.I dont know about the Titan 589s but ITP 589s won't be as tall as they claim to be.

I think the rear stock wheels on a Polaris are 10x8. This makes the tire wider, flatter, and shorter. I have 5 lbs of air in my MT's on 12x7 ITP rims. They are not on the quad now, but they measure 26 1/4" tall. The ITP's must run small, because I had to get aftermarket wheels for the front to offset the tires enough so they didn't rub the tie rod ends. ITP wheels push the tire out about 1/4". The 26x9's measure almost exactly 9" wide, maybe a tad more.
