Hey just wondering, as I look over "Kawie" thread I see a lot of problems about
the Prairie 650. I have one and love it and not have had one single problem out of
it. Is there anyone out there who has experienced no problems with their Prairie. Please type just a little message to put my mind at ease or else I will awalys be expecting a problem. Thanks

I check the other forums often and honestly the problems with the prairie line seem very minimal compared to what owners of other ATVs are complaining about.

I agree with Dextreme. I spent 1-4 hours every evening in various ATV forums this winter observing comments about every brand of ATV. I have seen few problems relating to Kawasaki. The most common issue does seem to be squeaking belts. I recently acquired my Kawi 650 and I have about 10 hours on it is all. My decision was based on driving it and others of course, but also by reading forums relating to performance and breakdowns. I absolutely love my machine. Those that do own a 650 seem to really only complain about the black plastic and I agree it is rather cheesy and thin.

850 miles of hard riding and my machine hasn't skipped a beat. It seems to run stronger the more I use it. But remeber one key phrase "PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE" follow the maintenance schedule in you owners manual and never put it away dirty and you'll have no problems.

49 hours and only problem I have had is the dealer isn't to up to date on the 650. However they are trying to come around. They took all the shimming away from my belt and left it just the drive pulley and driven pulley and my belt whinned however they state they are going to correct it ASAP. Other than that the only complaint is it won't get me off work so I can ride it more!!!

I have had mine for 6 months. It has only been to the shop once. That was for a bent front drive axle that I hit something with. Kawasaki put a new one on at no charge. Never had any problems with the choke cable or belt squeeking. I did get my belt wet for the 1st time this weekend when I rolled it over in a 4' deep swiftly moving creek. Tipped it back over started it up and floated it out of the creek. Held the throttle open in neutral for about 5 minutes and off she went. Can't complain about the performance of these things.

I have 408 miles and 76 hours on mine and the only thing I hate about it is the nasty squealing noise it makes. It stated to do it about 50 miles ago had it reshimed and all no one seams to know why it does it for at the dealer. Anyways I will live with it for now only does it while in a gear once in neutral it stops and it runs great! no belt slipping or any thing thats about the only problem with mine.
