I DONT THINK THE FILTERS ARE OUT FOR A 650. IF THEY ARE, SOMEBODY HAS THEM ALL TO THEMSELVES. EVERYBODY I HAVE CALLED SAYS THEY DONT HAVE ANY. MOST OF THE PLACES I HAVE TALKED TO ACT LIKE THEY NEVER HAVE HAD THEM IN STOCK FOR A 650.

I CALLED K & N AND THEY SAID THAT THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY AND WOULDNT GET ANY IN UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF APRIL.???????????????????

IF K & N DOESNT HAVE ANY UNTIL MID APRIL, HOW IS IT THAT SO MANY OF YALL HAVE THEM ON YOUR QUADS ALREADY. WHERE DID YOU ALL GET THEM? MY DEALER SAID THAT SOME RETAILERS TAKE A CLOSE FILTER AND MODIFY IT TO WORK ON A BIKE THAT DOESNT HAVE A FILTER MADE FOR IT YET. IS THAT POSSIBLE AND IS THAT WHAT YOU ALL HAVE.

I KEEP GETTING TOLD THAT THE FILTER FOR A 650 HASNT HIT THE MARKET YET.

AM I GETTING CRAP THROWN ON ME FROM MY LOCAL DEALERS BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE ANY IN STOCK? THEY ALL HAVE SAID THE SAME THING, THAT THE FILTERS ARE NOT OUT YET. OR ARE YALL MODIFYING A CLOSE FILTER AND THAT IS IT??????

Here are the part numbers if this will help. I have found not the filter but most are carrying the Jet Kits.

P/N KA-6502 Decription: Replacement for stock element

P/N 81-Q210 Description: Stage 1 Jet

If you do get this filter I would recommend a Prefilter if you ride in sandy or dusty conditions because paper ie layered filters are not as good as foam in this situation so I have been told.

I am surprised so many are having trouble finding these filters. My dealer always keeps at least two in stock. If you still have no luck let me know and we could make arrangements to ship you one. I haven't bought one for mine yet. At 49.95 i'll wait for the original to get a little dirty but i do plan on replacing it with a k&n.

Longarm, I emailed hmfengineering(www.hmfengineering.com) to see if they had any, they are backordered. Must have been extreme demand.

I have to admit that parts of the aftermarket ATV accessories industry has been quite lethargic (stupidly) about producing stuff for the 650.

Don't worry. Manufacturers realize their mistake (dumb K&N for not makin enough?) and get their fannys moving sooner or later after they realize they are loosing sales.
