What's up:

I'm going to remove my airbox in a few days so I can put on a clamp on airfilter. I wanted to know what you guys have on your Mojave's and I wanted to ask you which type of fiter I should go with. Should I get the oval type, the round tapered, or round straight type. Also what size is the flange and what size diameter, and lentgh should I go with. Let me know what you guys have on yours.

Also after removing the airbox, what should I do about the crankcase breather hose. Do I just leave it alone or put a longer hose on it and position it up on the frame somewhere?

Hope you can help me out. If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

I went with the Uni 2 stage foam and Outerwares, because in my opinion that was the best choice.
Be sure to do the maintenance on your filter to keep it working properly.
As for the breather hose I just used a longer hose that I mounted up under the body with a PVC breather filter I got at Advance for $2.
Also with your clamp on, run a small bead of grease around the inside of the flange to help seal against the carb.

EDIT: stupid me didn't read that you already have decided on K&N.

Did this to my Mojave a few weeks back. The performance is great! I ordered a round straight K&N 4" x 3 1/2" with a 2 1/8" ID from Dennis Kirk part# 30514. Also ordered a UNI crankcase filter with a 5/8" opening part# 301591. I suggest ordering a water repellent outerwear directly from Outerwears for the above filter part# wr115-4t. I attached the crankcase filter using a 5/8" barb to a piece of 5/8" clear tubing about 1' long (available at hardware store). It can be kind of bear to get the jetting correct. I can only tell you what worked best for me. With a White Brothers E-series pipe I used a 138 main and the Dynojet needle on the 3rd notch. Good luck!

Hey guys thanks for your suggestions and coments. I will be puting the filter on in a few days. I said K&N but might go with the Uni because I have heard it is better for really dusty conditions, and during the summer it's dusty everywhere I ride.

If anyone else has something to say please do.

Thanks
