Anyone have trouble with the lower steering stem bushing on the mojave or lakota. Mine is driving me crazy,it moves up and down quite a bit. It poses no problem but it bugs me. I was wondering if its possible to press out the spherical bushing and install a bearing instead. Anyone ever try this???

Mine does the same thing. It has had movement up and down since the day I bought it. Now I have a little side to side movement. I guess it's time for a new bushing.

Well I fixed the loose stem problem. I had one of the lips that held the seal cut off and the little spherical bushing came out. I went down to the auto parts store(napa) and found a bearing that fit just right in the hole and it works ten times better. There is very very little up and down play. It is also a lot cheaper than buying a new bushing from kawasaki. It only cost me $15.

Do you happen to know the part # from the bearing you used to replace the bushing?

Thanks

Sorry I don't have it, I wanted to keep it but forgot it at the shop. Its real easy to find if you take your bushing out. I believe its a 28mm od with a 10mm id
