Prairie 360 CVT Belt Check light started blinking.
#1
I had just started on my 3rd tank of fuel in my month old 360 when the CVT Check Belt light started blinking. My manual page 32 says excessive belt ware or belt damage will activate the switch. I took it to my dealer like the manual says. He removed the housing and inspected the belt and found it in like new condition. The switch inside the housing was not tripped like it should have been. He said his shop manual says that the light will blink when the hour meter hits 100 hrs which in my manual it says it will simply stay on and not blink. He called a Kawasaki dealer hotline and they had could not give him any further information. He reset it meter by disconnecting two separate electrical plugins then switched the leads and plugged them in for 7sec or more them plugged them in back the way they were. This would reset the 100 hour meter. The manual says the dealer must do this but it would be easy to do ones self.
To make a long story short I was going to go on my very first day of riding off my dads property to a national forest this past Monday but I wound up taking the Prairie 360 back to the dealer. I will be trying again this Sunday. It is a big ordeal for me the take mine in and then go back and pick it up.
