It was a 750cc, can't remeber the year though. Strong motor and a weak frame that would twist when the rider got on the pipe. Probably mid to late 70's. Does a KZ750 sound right?

Nope !!

H1-500 1969 threw 1976

H2-750 1972 threw 1975

That is 2 of many two stroke street machines in the 70's. Had many of them, what ever you need to know, let me know !!

Gaff is right about the 500 and the 750 but they also made a 350 3 cyl. Had a 72 used to smoke 750 hondas and the like just for fun. Two drag strips around here close, a friend of mine is still the record holder at both with a 72 model 750. Great memories.

Brings back memories, I had one of the Kawasaki two stroke 500's in high school. I rode it way too fast everywhere, and did wheelies into third down main street at 40 mph. Lucky I'm still alive. I've got a a mint 2 stroke Yamaha RZ350 (1985) in the garage that hasn't been started in a couple of years, this is all making me feel like taking it for a ride....

take care,
Lorrin

I've seen pictures of H2 motors in quads. I also hierd that they didn't work out to well. The sources that said they didn't work out didn't seem real reliable.

I still have some year models factory owner and service manuals. At one time I had I believe it was 16 H2's and a few 500's. Most of them were parts bikes.

I drag raced the h2's and had a H2 and H1 street bikes. Thier was a 350 and 400 called a S1 and S2 that kawi made. Suzuki had a series called GT, thier was a 350, 380, 500, 550, and the 750 known as the water buffalo.

Yamaha had the RD's wich came in 250, 350, and 400. Yamaha also had the RZ 350 and 500 in the mid 80's, and yes I had the two RZ's as well.

In 85 The Yamaha FZ and Suzuki's GSX came out, but even then the H2 was the quickest production machine.

I road these bikes for years, realy loved them.

It's kinda sad, because as my refuisal to believe they would ever get rid of the 2 stroke street machines is the same refuisal I see on here about the 2 stroke off road machines.

Those were the days guys, thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Hello guys Gaff especially I too used to have an H2 Kawi 750 a 72 also and I used to race the 1/4 mile with it. I could walk all over any other prduction bike that was made it was to say the least exzillerating. Couldn't give the bike full trottle off the start at least if you didn't want to end up on your back. Used to have to sit on the gas tank a little to start and smoke on it in the rest of gears. In stock form I could do the 1/4 in 10 flat and that's at 3200 ft above sea level ausome bike. Later on about 2 years later a mechanic friend of mine and me decided to install a turbo on the bike. After some trial and errors we had to detune the bike so as to keep the head from launching itself off the bike. Made for some intersting experimental rides to say the least. After preliminary tests we raced the bike again and managed to reduce the times to a respectable 9.72 truly a scarry machine. The only way to keep the front end down was to install wheely bars. It felt kind of strang to come up to the tree and people in the stands would point and sort of snicker. Untill I launched the bike and no more snickers. A truly exposive ridding experience. I believe Kawi also came out with a 900 four stroke and it couldn't hold a candle to the 750 triple. Its too bad government and law instatutions dictate any chances of our having fun. Seeing this thread here has brought some back some excellent times, it would be fantastic to step back a few years and relive some of crazy times of our youth. Have fun live life to the fullist

i good friend of mine has a lt 250 chassis with a 750 h2 motor that he has the snot built out of it.i believe most of the motor work is done by FAST by GAST in cali,it's 802 cc's and runs on nitrous also.stupid fast machine.and it works very well .electric shift, lockup clutch the whole works.
i'll have to get some pics of it and let you guys see some off the machines that my redneck friend in illinois and wisconsin build.the people around here just ain't right.
