I said it once, and I'll SAY IT AGAIN... the 2003 KX bikes are NOT RM bikes with different plastic. Your dealer is wrong. period. I've seen the pics of the 2003s, I even provided the link. Go look for yourself at the RacerX site.

Does anyone actually read these posts???

This makes me sick to my stomach I better pop a prevacid. Anyway ITs sad but you all know as well as I do it all comes down to the coin,a few people at the top are making beucoup bucks and every 1 else gets shafted always has been and always will be nothing will ever change.
ZTN I pass Andretti motosports every time I go to my buddies house in Easton.Im suppose to get together w some 1 out there and hes gonna show me some riding area bout 8 miles away from Easton that is if my foot is ok by Saturday.Do the Andrettis ever show up or work there I wonder, back in 98 I was working the food concessions in the pits at nazareth as I stepped out I heard some 1 say there goes Mario I ran bck he was halfway thru the tent I shouted whoo hoo viva la Mario Andretti ,boy He turned around smiled and waved and gave us a big thumbs up,I think he said you guys are the best and we were all clapping.Ill never forget that moment.Man what fervor that was to be caught up in that moment of excitement.

ok i'm here to sort out these rumors, first and foremost.
yes kawasaki is coming out with a green z 400 which will be called the kxz400 and no the kawasaki kx dirtbikes are not rm's,they are all new bikes from the ground up this year.they are not suzuki based.but suzuki and kawi will be sharing a couple of the same -platforms i.e. the kx60 ,lt50,lt80,drs110 and the z400 sport machine.
but please also be aware that kawasaki will stand out apart from the crowd with the other two new machines that have yet to be unvieled.these will not be suzuki based and will be kawasaki only machines.
yes the two companies have merged and are sharing parts suppliers and machines to bring costs down and keep the brand loyal people happy.but as a merged company they also have to have individuality so they will still develop their own machines for thier own mainstay.there will always be kx's and ninjas and each company will undoubtedly have to keep the brand loyalists happy by having models that differ from the other company. and let us not forget that this joint venture isn't just because of the motorcycle industry.the motorcycles and atv's are only 10%of what these companies build.go to thier website sometime and see exactly what kawasaki builds outside of motorcycles.bet you didn't know they built heavy excavating equipment, ocean liners, helicopters and all kinds of heavy mining equipment just to name a few.so just keep that in mind, cause both of these companies could stop building our toys that we love and hold so dearly to our hearts, and still never go out of business.
just be glad that these companies are here and are building us the toys we enjoy.heres the website enjoy and let me know what you learned.

Why would anybody think different?? Of course it's a Z w/ green plastic. The goal was to cut costs and capture more sales.

OK. If the KX is still kawasaki based, I apologize. I hope it is. I AM a Kawasaki fan, remember. I was told the KX's were now RM's. I didn't see for myself. BUT The ATV brochure, with exception of the Mojave, clearly shows Suzuki ATV's with green plastic. If Kawasaki actually builds an offroad vehicle of their own, I'll take back my cursing of Team Green and may log in as meaniegreenie again.

Yes, I'm well aware of Kawasaki's other areas of business like KillerKX stated. I should have specified and said "consumer offroad products" Sorry. I STILL think it's pathetic that their eagerly anticipated 400 sport quad is COMPETELY Suzuki and not just related.

I think Kawasaki and Suzuki are looking to put the hurt on Honda. If Kawasaki is going to get the Z400 and just rename it and change the plastis then maybe Suzuki is going to take the P650 and rename it and change the plastic. I would be happy with that exchange, very happy.
