Yes. I saw the brochure that just arrived at my dealer. And I was completely disgusted. The 2003 KFX400 will be out in about 2 months. Why the waiting all the hush hush on Kawi's part? For what?? It truly is a Z400 w/ green plastics! NOT ONE DIFFERENCE! The color scheme is identical to the mojave w/ the black front piece and green plastics and the decals are IDENTICAL! Kawasaki as a powersports manufacturer is DEAD. It goes beyond that. "kawasaki"'s ATV lineup also includes w/ green plastic the LT50, LT80 quadsport and the ENTIRE dirtbike line including the motocrossers. Jeff Ward, Jeff Emig and the rest of Team Green's proud past would be ashamed. The legendary KX line up is now made of Green RM bikes.

I'm done w/ kawasaki. I've been a life long supporter w/ KX80's and my Tecate 4. NO MORE. I was looking into getting a 4 stroke sport ATV and naturally was waiting for the new 400 sprt quad. I really thought Kawasaki would have had more pride and ingenuity and put a real kawasaki motor in this thing...like a KX400 4 stroke prototype. Apparently, now it is clear why we haven't seen one. They were NEVER making one! They'll just wait for Suzuki to make an RM 4 stroke and use that. Simple, huh?

Well, do what you will. I'll go buy a z400 or a cannondale. At least they made them!! This is meaniegreenie signing out for the last time!

 

For one i wount beleave it untill I see it!! and anouther i would buy it just to say its kawasaki instead of suzki!!!!I bet this is not even true anyway because i called my dealer and asked and they have heard no such thing!!!

 

I saw the 2003 Kawasaki KX250 and KX125 dirtbikes... they are not Suzukis...

i heard this is true also. my dealer said when the merge took place, kaw dorpped all f their dirtbike lines. i am a big kaw fan and hope to god they dont do this to their other bikes.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

No man I dont thing any of this is true!!! I bet all of thsi is just some BIG scam!!Why would kawasaki do that to there line up???They sell way more KX's then they do RM's and it wouldent make sence!!

 

They would do that because they are no longer a Independant company.. Suzuki OWNS Kawasaki.

It's me guys. New name and new outlook. I knew this would happen. I woulda said the same thing this morning but now I know. It was a real kawasaki brochure. If I had my digital camera I woulda taken a picture. It's true. As far as the KX, the dealer told me they were RM based. I didn't even wanna look at it. I wanted to puke. The KLX line is DR bikes with green plastic. Yes. IT IS TRUE! and they ATV line up is suszuki. ALL TRUE! I've bled green my whole life and I wouldn't lie to you guys. I have a tecate 4 for cryin' out load! The mojave 250 is back. At least that is still original kawi. But it is all true! Stay in denial while you can. My local dealer Andretti powersports (honda, kawasaki, suzuki, tamaha and polaris) in PA. I was just there to pick up stuff for my tecate and I asked them if they've heard anything and they JUST got the first brochures in for the 2003 line up. It's only a matter of time before you can for yourself. Call your dealer they may have'em in. Sorry.
