Be patient grasshopper!! You gotta take your time and it will slowly fill up. Make sure you got a few beers on hand before you start this job. I know it's a pain with that front end gear right there.

I tipped mine 650 sideways until the amount the manual said it required was in, then put the cap on.

You gotta love the simple answers. I am doing all my first fluid changes on Monday. So far I have learned 2 tricks for fluid changes from the website.

1. cut up a milk jug to keep your skid plate clean while removing the oil filter
2. tip machine sideways for front diff

I got it. I took a very small hose and taped it to a funnel. Stuck the hose all the way into the diff. Then while consuming a few beers, waited patiently as the oil slowly filled. And I do mean SLOWLY! When it was full it let me know by running out. Thanks for everybody's help, especially the part about the beers.

It's also good to ride it around a little while to get all the oil and fluids warm before changing, it helps to get all the old oil out and it drains faster.

Wish I was as smart as you Trailhog. I changed mine in March and I didn't warm it up first. After 2 HOURS!!! and approximately 6 beers!!, I finally got all the oil out of the front diff. Don't even get me started on how long it took to fill it.

i have a long neck funnel that screws onto the oil container...worth its weight in gold....if you have a problem with oil running out of the filter...drain the engine first, i let mine sit for about 30 mins then change the filter, usually have none left in it.
