i have a few questions about the supertrapp IDS2 exhaust...which gives more power, the race core or quiet core? is the quiet core louder than the stock exhaust? and when you buy the exhaust do you just get the slip-on or do u get the complete(muffler & headpipe)

The only difference is the race is louder. The quiet is loud enough but it has a good deep tone. (this was on my 250x with a 273cc ported, cammed, big bore.) It comes as a complete system. I love this pipe and recommend it to anyone.

 

i have heard that the race core is not only louder but also gives more power if you dont mind a lil more noise get the race core you can always buy just the quite core and put it in

 

The difference in the 2 is that the race core is straight thru while the quiet has a baffle at the beginning. I have both.

 

where is a good place to buy the IDs2. also what is better, Ids2 or big gun. Please factor in that loud ness counts.

 

I have been very happy with the power gains from the IDS2 race core-but it is VERY loud-I don't know much about the Big Gun-someone else will have to share with you on that.
The Quiet series IDS2 was not too loud at all and still made good power.
