I have a 2000 Kodiak 4X4. I love it but I am thinking of trading it in. My belt got wet and I am discouraged about another automatic. I love Kawasaki's. I had their first 900cc street bike and the 1000cc when it came out. A 300 bayou too. Never ANY problems.
Where is the intakes if any for the belt cooling. How Deep can it go? How can it be drained?

hiya just had mine apart the other day wondering the same thing. the vents are behind the battery. i got water in there last week, but there is no way to drain it that i saw. so i just rode till it came out of it. was in about 2-3 foot of water had to jump off so it wouldnt sink. i think since i put a bit wider tires on it when i got it it actually floats when you get really deep and your not on it. ehheheh what a great day that was.

Actually there are 2 vents for the belt the other one is in the front of the belt housing and it goes up to the side, by the air intake vent it is a little lower than the air intake vent though.
