Guys,

I took your advice before to be sure to occasionally clean my ripcord so that it always retracts when pulled. After pulling it out to clean, it would not retract. Currently the whole housing is off and I cannot get the ripcord to retract. What should I do?

I had the same problem. Didn't take it off though. Started engine & gave it a little gas while pushing the cord back in. Hell, I can't even start bike with the cord anyway! Hope I don't have to!
