That is totally cool. It's funny because I'm in the process of doing the same thing-> kx500+tecate4. If you have any pointers I'd love to hear them. Great job!

yes it did have alot of vibration when i first put it in.thats why i did it the way i did,so i could see just how bad it was going to be.it was very bad.
so i pulled the motor and did a complete rebuild on it from top to bottom.
first i bought a fresh wiseco and i had the crank rebuilt with a wiseco hotrod, then i sent the entire rotating assembly to crankworks with the crank and rod assembly and the piston and rings and the primary gear that is on the end of the crank and the flywheel.to have it all balanced together.
while that was out getting done i built my rubber motor mounts, which i must say work very well.and you need to mount rubber at every mounting point even the head stay because alot of the vibration comes from the top of the cylinder.
and for those who are thinking of doing this be sure to get the crank and rotating assembly balanced ,that takes out about 70% of the vibration alone.

this conversion is well worth the time and money spent if you have to have the absolute fastest quad amungst your friends.this thing is a holy terror.with a 14/37 gearing it does any easy 97 mph.and this is a completely stock motor with no porting or anything fancy.
and i can easily smoke my buddies hopped up LT500 and my other buddies 720 raptor.in factor the raptor wasn't even really a race i just left him sitting.and the lt 500 presented itself well by sticking with me til i put it in gear.lol.
if anyones needs help doing this conversion or any pointers i would be happy to help.there is alot of work that went into my conversion to make it right.it looks totally stock and factory installed.there is no bogus welds or any non-cuacasian engineering on the machine.theres a few tricks that i can help with that will make the same conversion go a lot smoother.

if anyones interested in it i will sell it.it only has about 4 hours on it so far.

I wondered if you would mind telling me more details about the quad, I'm particularly interested in what type of rubber you used for the mounts, did you sandwich the rubber, or was it just rubber bushed, did you insulate the steering shaft etc, those type of questions. Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Thanks
