Mojave a-arms and swingarm
#1
Where can I get some wider a-arms and a longer swingarm for my mojave? Also I'm considering racing my Mojave next year but with the release of the KFX 400 should I just sell the Mojave and buy a KFX 400 or just mod the hell out of the Mojave?

you need to think of it this way do you want somthin that everyone has or do you want to be the fast guy out there that nowone knows nor do they know what kinda screamin machine that is hes on
if you want a proven quick machine that wont make a show of it get the kxf
if you want to be that guy nobody knows mod that lil beast
for a swingarm if you wanna go cheap right know get a stock lakor swingarm it is +1 for the mojave and bolts right up to it
i cant remember the sight with good stuff fer the mojave somone will tho
look at lurchs mojave ask him if you plan on modding it his is a 400ex eater

Get the KFX. In the long run you will spend more money trying to get the performance of the KFX out of the Mojave and you will have a harder time getting your money back when you sell it. Mojave's are great, but they get no respect so they are hard to sell. Many of the aftermarket parts will be more available for the KFX as well which means you should find them cheaper.
Just ask Lurch, he has the baddest Mojave on the planet and he just put it on ebay to sell so he could get a KFX. He didn't sell the Mojave because the reserve was not met.

You guys are making me blush! Just kidding. I have put more time and money into my Mojave than anyone else in their right mind would do. LOL Or at least I've been told that. I have to admit, I do have a one-of-a-kind Mojave. The A-arms I have are +6+1. That's right, I said +6....on each side. I have to use the 4-1 "inset" wheels.
The Mojave is about $2,000 cheaper than the KFX. If you are starting out, just mod out the Mojave. The KFX is a FAST QUAD for beginners. This is what I would recommend getting for the Mojave....
-Burgard +2+1 A-arms
-Works Shocks front/rear
-nerf bars
-kill switch
-smoothy hood
-aftermarket axle +6"
-Rear beadlocks with Maxxis Razors (personal choice)
-Offset front wheels with Maxxis MX Razors (again, personal choice)
-Supertrapp or White Brothers exhaust (ANYTHING BUT A COBRA!)
-UNI or K&N filter
-Four Stroke Tech black box mod
-Renthal Fat Bars, CR-hi bend (another personal choice)
-PEP Steering stablizer
Those are just some of my recommendations. If you do those to your Mojave, you will have a good shot at giving the 400ex riders fits. Those Mods are similar to the ones I had on mine before FST got ahold of it and I did very well. Always in the top 5, well....most of the time.
As a matter of fact, this one guy at Bremen MX in GA came up to me and simply said....
"I hate you."
I asked, "What did I do?"
He replied, "I just do."
Then I asked him, "Is it because I can spank your big bad 440EX with my little bitty STOCK 250 Mojave?"
All he said was "YES!"
LOL, I got a kick outta him. If you are a good rider, Mojaves can be competative. Just go with your gut feeling.

Thanks, Lurch
I think I going to keep the mojave for a couple of reason's: First it's pretty fast and I have a ball riding it and as it is right now I can beat any 300 ex I come up against and Some 400ex's (well that is if the rider doesn't know how to ride it) The second reason I'm going to keep it is because I really can't afford the KFX 400 right now I just bought a 360 prairie about a month ago...Maybe in a year or so LOL Lurch who sells the a-arms?
