300 bayou 4x4

I know the prairies are the new flagship models for Kawi but wondering if there many bayou guys out there , hardly ever see a post on them or by an owner. I bought a used one at the begining of June and have had good luck and a good time with , also doing some farm work with it. Are there no posts because there is no problem with them or just not many out there? The thing will climd like crazy and rides quite good for an older design , but I guess it's proven design.Later.

I posted a thread very similar to yours a month or 2 ago.I was Complimenting the bayou for it ruggedness and dependability. Not a single response to that thread,it just went away, most kawi owners are in to thier praries and mojaves, rightfully so I guess.I owned a bayou 300 2wd,no problems for 4 years, just wanted a sportier quad. Mom started to show an interest in 4 wheeling,so what did I recommend for a beginner atv,a bayou. She is the proud rider of a 1996 220.

I use a 2002 Bayou 220. I love it. Where I ride the small size is an advantage, it makes riding on small winding trails easier.
I ride quite a bit with a friend who has a 300 suzuki and a 300 praire 4x4. I have not yet had a problem keeping up with them.
THe Bayou is very dependable and it didn't cost a fortune to buy brand new!
I would buy one again tomorrow!

I have a '95 bayou 300 4x4, it has been very reliable, it's comfortable to ride and strong as ao ox with the hi/lo range. I really like the swing axle design ( two shocks in rear), I don't know why they got away from it. That is one reason I also like Arctic Cat because they have their ACT suspension. I like the load carrying of the ACT, and you still get the articulation which alows it to ride better than those without.

Hey guys...new forum member here. Proud owner of a 93 Bayou 400 4x4, 95 Bayou 300 4x4, and a 97 Prarie 400 4x4. As for the one I actually ride...always one of the bayous THe 400 with its "Super Low" first gear can easily outpull any of my friends quads that have wanted to hook up with it so far. The low center of gravity is great for climbing steep hills, and the dual transmission on the 300 lets it keep right up with the bigger 4x4's...and with it being smaller it does great on tight trails. The only reason we have the Prarie is my dad has a bum knee and it hurts to switch gears....but he doesn't like it near as well as the bayous...says its too top heavy
