Is anything wrong with using K&N's product to clean and oil the stock air filter? My trepidation is Kawi's is a foam filter and K&N's is a cloth filter.

Just wondering seeing how I have a K&N air filter cleaning and oiling kit laying around...

I use K-1 kerosene to clean it, and K&N spray oil(red) to oil it. Seems to work fine.

Won't the kero hurt the filter like Gas?

didn't think so, Monte. I've used it for years on my various dirtbike, quad air filters. They haven't disintegrated yet. I don't leave it in the filter for long, then blow it out with comp. air, and then air dry over nite. K-1, as far as I know, is just highly refined deisel fuel. Works for me.
