Are the pilot jets the same as the main air jets that I switched out with the dynojet kit?

If not which ones are they...actually, I'll just look it up in my $35 SERVICE MANUAL when I get home.

You may want to try adjusting your idle mixture screws. Mine had a slight hesitation when i bought it. I adjusted it and it runs great.

What do you recommend as to how to adjust them? I turned them out 3 turns as DynoJet instructed. I've also heard of people that turned them all the way down, then cranked them out until the bike ran like crap, then half-way back and stopped there.

Thanks for the help.

Parker, I have been through the whole jetting thing my 650. The best advice I can give is to go with the 4th notch instead of the 5th. If you still have hesitation after that you may need to drop your main jets.

Parker, I turned my air screws to 2-3/4 turns because 3 turns was a little much in the wet places i ride in.

The air screws do affect off idle performance, but you only should adjust them for idle itself. Too lean and it won't idle well until it gets hot. Too rich and it will idle rough when hot or stall in steam. You should not use the air screw to try to compensate for an incorrect needle.

Bad gas was probably causing your problems, or dirty filter (or other). Since you said it ran well after you rejetted, you probably have it jetted right.

Parker650,

Did you figure out what the hesitation was on your wheeler?
I believe I may have the same problem, I recently put on the diamondg snorkel, dynojet kit,and twin air filter. Right after I finished everything I could feel the little hesitation, then today the same thing it kind of hesitates up to about 6-7 miles per hour then kind of comes out of it, if you hammer on it then it just rips!!!!!! Does anybody have any suggestions?????

Thanks
