The electronic dispay was replaced on my grizz in the first 15 hours and a bottle of tuch up paint was provided by yamaha for my paint problems, the p650 has 98 hours on it now and has not had any warranty work performed on it so far. I would look at the Rincon if quality and reliabilty is your no.1 priority. Every Honda I have ever owned was what I like to refer to as bullit proof. From what I understand the honda is kind of in the midle. The power is suposed to be simmilar to the grizz and the p650 and the ride feal is sportier than the grizz but not as sporty as the p650 but I myself have not had the chance to experince this for myself. The weakest link on the grizz is likely to be the belt and the honda has no belts. If I had to pic just one bike it woud be the p650 just for the fun of it.

I looked at the Honda and it doesn't look like it would be for me. I like to get a little crAzy in the mud and trails and also plow the driveway. I am 6' and about 220lbs. I was sold on the Grizzly but am having second thoughts after reading more about the Praire. Is the Praire mre powerful than the Grizz? Is Kawasaki running any deals that you know of? Yamaha is giving the winch or plow for $69.00. I just want the best bang for the buck. what do you think?
Thanks

Its great to get input from the forums but the only way to decide is to ride both.

Mojorising:
If you can live without I.R.S. go with the KawiP650. It has the most power of all the big bores. It has the best brakes ever put on a quad. It has an "on the fly" front-locker. The sportyness of this machine is incredible. The reliablity is top notch. Some have had belt problems but that is a non issue with the bulk of them. 3 dealers in my area(One a good buddy of mine) never see any P650's for repairs. My buddy hasn't see one machine come back for repairs on anything. The P650 is a stronger tower and this has been proven repeatedly. The P650 is smoother running(no vibes). I think it is the superior machine...thats why I own it. At least almost every mag sold in the past year, as well as Atv television, and most people on this Forum say the same...It's the best.

I don't think either would be great for plowing. I would prefer a manual shift. Also the prairie fron springs are weak and a blade will mash it down when the blade is lifted. Both have more than adequate power to push a snow blade.

Ride em and have fun deciding.

mojor, as far as I can tell the 660 actually has about double the problems of the 650. I guess it kinda depends on what you count. If a short belt life was counted heavily for what people call a lot of problems, maybe the 650 would have the most probs. The 660 has less belt maintenace, but the problems list is pretty much a lot more prevalent on the yam.

I feel that kawasaki makes a more solid product by far. There are a couple of weak spots on the 650, but not nearly as many as the 660. I like the 660 a lot, but I wanted the 650 power. It appears the the 650 is much more solidly made, both in the engine driveline and frame. Better brakes.

The 660 is not as good in water, gets belt wet easier. 660 has a wet clutch which heats the oil and puts abrasive particles in it. Twice as hard to work on. Not as stable for off camber riding.

Bottom line, you learn to fix the cvt yourself, and you will think the 650 is trouble free. If you take a 650 to an integrity impaired dealer mechanic, you can have a pretty negative experience with your 650 early on.

Unbiased? is there anything that is unbiased? biased is based on feelings and personal taste. I put a lot of millage on my atv for my area, and if I was to buy an other atv right now is easy. P 650. You can not go wrong, it delivers. The P650 puts life back into ATVing. I had alot of problems with the 650, (witch is probably not what you want to hear) but I can say that it is uncomman for 650s to have the problems I'ved had... but still I'm a big 650 fan. I feel there's alot of good bikes out there and the only right way to buy one is to ride them all. U will find that all Atvs have to loose stock tires.

I plow snow (don't worry the tranny is strong enough for plowing... I made 10foot snow banks with it last winter), some mud lots of trails with mine.

Have fun on your 650
