Dude help me out here, I know you have a service man. Is the cvt air INTAKE the one that runs under the shifter and past the airbox up beside the steering stem? the reason I ask, is if you look between the RIGHT side front tire and inner fender there is another " snorkel" running low connected to the cvt, is this the exhaust outlet? reason I ask is until Bearman get's the filter's ready I may rubber band some panty hose over the cvt intake to filter some dirt don't laugh, what do you think????

The stack coming into the front of the belt cover (i.e. the round one is the intake and the flat one is the exhaust) best I can tell, the book does not specify which is which. I lists the one in the book as a vent on Clutch cover removal so I am thinking a vent removes the air as in venting something. And it would make sense to cool the belt with moving air from the front and not hot air becase the vent on the side of the cover exits under the seat over the motor and exhaust.

Hope this helps.

stakk, that is right, that black pipe in the front is the inlet, it actually ends near the radiator cap (and the engine's air inlet). Take the front access cover off in front of the handlebars and see if you can rubber band a prefilter over it. Remember the engine inlet is on the left (pull start) side, and the cvt inlet is on the right (gas tank) side.

Also, the rubber boot on the cvt cover is the hot outlet, it exits just behind the airbox, in front of the seat.

It is a good idea, other quad owners have been doing that succefully.
