Hey,
I would like to find out if anyone here rides their P650 mostly in the mud. How has it held up? Are there more clutch problems? How many miles? Thanks for your time. I think i'm gonna buy one soon but need a little more feedback.
Thanks,
Sirmill

my son rides in the mud, with a bunch of his friends, they share the same brain. we use 28" vamp's for mud. If how dirty it is when it comes back is any indiction, then it works great.

I will say this, it used to take two polaris HO's to keep him going before. There was one in the shop all the time, it would be out just in time for the other to go in.

I own an '02 P650 with 3000 miles on the odometer and as far as I know there are no known clutch problems with the P650. My clutch looks and works as good as it did when I purchased it 13 months ago.......MJSTX

Dash,
I am in Farmington Utah, and I noticed in a post a few days ago, that you said that you go 80 miles for service that you can trust. Will you tell me which dealer that is? I purchased my 650 from Newgate Kawasaki in Ogden. Thank you

Sirmill I ride my Kawi in the mudd religeously with 28in Outlaws and only in the last week have I ventured into the clutch. I have almost 200hrs on it and it has worked very well. One secret is to put the trany in low range and 4x4 soon as you hit the trails less strain on the drive system less problems down the road.

I've been trying to figure out who you are. I know almost everyone with 650's in the area but I can't quite put a face to the username.
And DASH I've got a friend who has close to 4000 miles on his 02

Newgate in ogden?...Ouch. I tried them for rejetting my machine and they totally messed up the jetting. I like to ride in sanpete county and there happens to be a great little dealership that is honest and they know what they are doing. Its called Ron Greene kawi/suzuki in Mt.Pleasant. Its right on main street... They have been the best plus there are some great trails to ride.

Well I need to go put some more miles on my machine...to catch up with some of you here.

I know it is off the topic, but I got mine in Delta. I won't make that mistake again!!! I've been doing my business with Ron Greene, and I'm very happy. The next bike I buy will be from them. They are just honest in there work, and not out to screw you!

Dash, and Freak.

Thanks for the info on Ron Greene. Newgate did rejet my machine for me, but they did it before I even picked it up. Since I haven't ridden any other 650's, I can only assume that they did it right. It seems okay to me, but I am new at this. What signs should I look for that might indicate a poor job?
