When I got it home from the dealer it did not want to stay running. It ran fine at the dealer. I went to turn up the idle kept turning and turning until a spring and some washers popped out. Has this happened to anyone else? I put everything back and it stayed running. Any ideas? Also wierd noises at shutoff after only running for a couple of minutes. ALmost sounds like a fuel injector when you turn the ignition of a car.
Thanks

Never tore up my idle adjustment but that noise you're hearing is the KEBC reprogramming, it'll do that every time you turn the key off.

You have just bought the weirdest sounding machine on the planet, a few of the noises are listed here and there are several more that you will hear. Some have said that the P650 sounds like the worlds largest Hoover vacuum.

I had a problem with my idle adjustment cable popping out of the slot. I think I wire tied it down finally to keep it in place.

The P650 does make some funny noises but MuddHound is right about the noise you mentioned. Some of the whining from the drive belt ("worlds largest Hoover vacuum&quot will go away with time. A loud exhaust helps too.

Thanks for the info guys. Do you think I could have messed anything up putting it back toghether? Or its there really only one way for that spring assembly to go in? Also I know you guys talke about the speed on it being about 65-68. I went about a city block and got up to only about 50. (an actual city block on pavement in my neghborhood) Does it generally take longer to get top speed? Not interested in going that fast but wondering.
Thanks Again!

You should wait until you brake it in before you open it up like that! You'll also notice that the adjustment **** won't stay in the slot(bad design, luckily the only one I've noticed) make sure you secure it with a wire tie. Good luck and don't rush your brake-in or you will be sorry.
