i just bought a 2000 mojave bout 3 weeks ago. was looking at a Honda 400ex, but decide i couldent afford it. I read lots of good things about this atv, but just wanting to here more. Does it really run with honda 300's and warrior 350's? Im wanting to start racing, but would i race againt these? Just any talk about this bike would be great. Whats its rev limiter set at? Has the bike changed at all since its debue 12 years ago?

Yea it can I have a friend with a modifided 300ex and my mojave has all the same things like tires, handlebars, exhaust, carb jets, air filter and my mojave beats him every time. We even traded off with diffrent people and the mojave still beat it.

Yes the Mojave will hang with(if not beat) a 300EX. As for the Warrior, it will keep up with a stock one most of the time. The Mojave really shines on trails, tight woods or any twisty places. I can roost all over a stock Warrior in these places on my friends Mojave (stock also) until yesterday anyway.
As for the rev-limiter, set way too low. Anyone who has changed it would agree with me. As a matter of fact, thats what my buddy changed yesterday. We spent all day in the trail today after the storm we got last night. We switched quads for a while since I'd only rode his once and he had not rode mine yet. I could notice a big difference from the last time. Nothing like a few more RPM's to rev up!!
The Mojave is very capible-jumping, sliding zig-zaggin' between trees, poping wheelies, getting by trail obstacles (reviens, strait banked creeks, loggs, & squeezing through narrow places). I believe you will enjoy many exciting trail rides. The Mojave gets my vote for most fun to ride sport quad on the trails.
