Default 650 or 360 for the wife

OK here's the deal guys. After talking about it for 2years,I finally got around to getting a 650. Took it out this weekend for it's first time, at the fall VISTA ride at Loretta Lynns. I made the mistake of letting the wife ride it. ( I should have said "Honey its got too much power for you to handle") Needless to say she loved it. Now her 300 4x4 Bayou seems too wimpy for her. (Just think I had to ride that thing while she rode my new 650). The question is 650 or is the 360 for her? Has anybody bought the 360 for their wife and wished they had bought a 650 instead? The 360 is the same size, weight. The main differance seems to be the engine, (power)? The cost is about $1400 less.

I would get her the 650 as the 360 does not justify it's price and they seem to lack something oooo yeah the power hehe. Na bud I would get her the 650 or have you seen the manual shift Suzuki Vinson they are pretty nice as well depends on your taste I would stay with the 650.

this is a tough one, 650 if you dont mind eating her dust every once in awhile, 360 if you want to save money, and want to beat her, but let her still have enough power for her to handle and feel happy with, and she can still ride your 650 once in a while, and you can ride a brand new 360 when she rides your 650

We went through the samething but we decided to get another 650 one main reason is when doing mods I can try something and if something better comes out like a pipe i can put the old one on hers and get the new one. Also the power of 650 rocks and she wanted the same power or more then me.

I too was in the same position when purchasing our new quads. I decided to get her a 650 because I figured down the road it would be easier maintaining 2 identical machines. Same parts , procedures etc. The 360 is easier to steer however, but my wife does not mind the 650. She usually jsut rides around in low range as well which is probably similar to a 360 in high range. Another thing that turned me off of the 360 was that it weighed in the same as the 650 but with much less power.

Good luck in your decision, Bob

Thanks for the imput. I was leaning toward the 360 to save a few $$. The manual shift is a defiant no go. She likes the no shift auto. Another 650 does make good sense.Same parts and all.

NTHEWND,

I would also have to say if you can afford it I would spring for the 650 because it could end up in the long run being cheaper.

Lets just say you purchase the 360 and then every time your wife gets on the 650 the 360 for her will seem underpowered then you have to think about selling it the next riding season or if you go the trade in route your really in the hole.

I would go with the 650 and then you will both be happy on the trail for many years in the future.

The divorce rate is high enough and think of the extra money spent as a diamond she can sit on instead of wearing on her finger.

I bought my wife the P650 and she loves it. So do I for that matter. I got it for the stability it has. With the lower gas tank the center of gravity is much better than the P360 and thats very important.

360s are the same weight and size (close) to 650 but 650 is rated best atv by alot of magizines and tv show plus if she will be riding with you and your buddys in mud and the lady decides to tag along the 650 power will be helpful

Thanks for all the replies. I guess she's going to get the 650! Now should I get another Camo, or get her the REEED one! I would also like to point out my wife drives a Corvette, and rides her own motorcycle, a HD Superglide.
