Default What to do????

I have a few questions on what you guys would do in my situation.

I am in the process of switching to synthetics for engine oil and front diff fluid. First off, the filter was so d@mn tight, I had to take it off by punching a screw driver through it. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Dealer did last oil change. Got that done finally, and on to the front diff. Before I drained it, I thought I would check the fluid level. I took the side bolt out and felt around in there. NO fluid could be touched! Dealer changed that last also. I begin to drain what is in there and it is pukey colored brown. What gives with this dealer??
I decide to check the rear end fluid again, because after the dealer had it last, I noticed the drain plug wasn't tight. Good thing though, there was still enough 424 in there. The bad part was, when I took the filler plug out, some of the rubber ring on it fell off!! How can this happen?? Do you think I need a new plug now? It seems to be holding the fluid ok, but I have not ridden it yet.

Is there anything to be done about this? Do I contact the dealer? Or do I contact Kawi? What would you do?

Thanks for listening and for any comments.

If I recall right, the o rings on those fill plugs fall off easy. Mine did that. Just put it back in the groove, it will seal. If the o ring is damaged, get another one. If you are under warranty, get another one. If they hassle you, just buy it. It has to be cheap.

Yep, it's broken. I suppose I should make the drive and get one before the weekend. (deer opener)

Believe it or not, after draining the front end and adding adequate 20W-50 Vtwin, it steers MUCH easier.

Thanks for the reply nyroc. I used advise from your website for the maintenance. I do alot of the maintenance on my Dad's and all my buddies' quads. Mostly Polaris's and a few 650's. Your site helps out alot. I like your crafty tips. Haven't quite figured out the black spring yet. Still learning.
