Default My turn for new Tires for the P650...help?

As we all know by now there are a ton of posts on tires. I really couldn't find anything to address the type of terrain that I most frequent in.

I am really looking for an aggressive tire that will chew though mud and grip wet or dry rocks....like this:
http://pub21.ezboard.com/fsandlakedu...picID=16.topic
I need to be able to go where ever Jeeps can go (if that's possible). Or be able to go where they can't! These pics was definitly not the worst of the terrain experienced, just an example.

But I also need the tire to do well in the dunes when deflated to about 2 psi that will not dig to China. The stockers do well, so the new ones need to do as good or hopefully better.

Currently I am considering 589's, Gators or Mud Bugs. I am sensing that 589's might be the right tire for me, but I love the looks of the gators....what do you think?

I'd go with the gators. Tuff and good traction.

You might want to also look into GBC Dirt Devils and ITP Mud Lites. If most of your riding is in areas like in the picture and somewhat worse then I know from personal experience that the Devils will excel in those situations. I have heard that Gators work well as a general purpose tire too but I just can't see using a paddle tire like a Gators, Mud Bugs, or Outalaws on surface mud since these tires were designed for paddling through deep holes and floatation.

Where is the cheepest place to buy mud lites? I am not seeing them on most of the big web dealers. I know they are new and probably just not listed yet, but I really don't want to have to call around when my keyboard is so handy.

They just barely came out (or aren't out yet). I bet hardly anybody knows how to get them. You could be our guy to figure it out.

Call or email highlifter, rockymountainatv, teesoffroad, or somebody that sells lots of tires. Hopefully one of those places will have some inside info.

Nyroc, I've already found a dealer with a great price. PMed the link to the guys too, just didn't want to get my chops busted for promoting another web site now that we have the "preferred vendors".

Just read a little about the MudLites... and I think that they would be your best bet. The other big-@$$ mud paddles will produce too much vibration. I think the MudLites are perfrect for a sporty-mix with not like 10" lugs to make you get hard. {haha} but yea ITP wouldn't make a cheap tire and they'd get the job done and more. my 2 cents

I guess I was most suprised when I saw that ITP's Mud Lites were actually cheaper than the GBC Dirt Devils. Usually you find the cheaper prices from GBC and Maxxis.
