Default P650 Leaking rear axle seal???

I was looking at the back of my quad today and I noticed a small leak on the left side axle. I looked in the manual and it looks to me like there is a O ring there and thats all. Has anyone had this problem? The bike only has about 550 miles on it and is a year old. Has anyone out there changed one and if so is it a pain in the butt or is it pretty easy.

Default P650 Leaking rear axle seal???

I used to have a Prairie 650 and mine started leaking before the 10-hour mark. Mine was on the right side though, the part of the right side rear diff. that appears to be bolted on. I took it in for the first tune and service and they replaced it for me under warranty. I didn't have any more problems after that. Until the belt started squealing at 450 miles They replaced the whole right side diff. piece, not just the O-ring. Sorry I can't be of much help.

Check the diff. vent hose, and diff. oil level. Clean the area and keep an eye on it, to see just how much it is leaking. Was any oil spilled in the area?

It may be as easy as a piece of grass stuck between the seal lip and the shaft, mine leaked on the right side, got it to the dealer he only cleaned it and it never leaked back. I was kind of upset cause I could have done this my self.
I herad of the left side leaking when the hitch is installed, just take it to the dealer he wll fix that under waranty.

I have seen several do that , including mine , I had to replace 2 seals in the left side , real easy job , I also replaced the o-ring that went under the cover on the left side, total for all 3 seals was about $15 or a little less.
