Default maxxis shur traks or dirt devils on lakota

ok i ride some mud some hardpak some creekbeds i want a good tire i really would like a square tire vs. a rounded tire the shur traks are more square than the d/d are they 6 ply also will they fit on my lakota im gonna get 22 /11/10 which is the better for my riding style

sur tracs are pretty square..light for a tire, but are NOT 6 ply, bearclaws are (I think) tread pattern is similar between bearclaws, & sur tracs, except the claws have a smaller patch in the center. so far I'm happy with the sur tracs..about 45-50$ per corner..
ride good on hard pack, grip well, & ride good on pavement..not overly agressive on lawns..(yep, they will leave a pucker) but not take out chunks if you're running in low profile mode.. as far as the lakota, well I don't know about that, some of the lakota crowd will need to chime in..

I have had SurTraks and Dirt Devils on my utility quads. I like the Sur Traks alot better. They are only 2 ply, but I never cut one. They are tough, light, and ride good. My DD's beat the crap out of me.

I have heard of SurTrac's on a Lakota. The only prob. I remember them saying was that it rubbed the battery box. I don't think it was that big of a deal, but you can get durablue wheel spacers to take care of that, plus give better handling, so would be good to add them anyway.

Is your Lakota stock? These tires will be a little heavier so they will take away some power. If you haven't pipe/jetted/filtered it, I would highly recommend you do so, plus it makes the Lakota a whole diff. machine. You would enjoy it quite a bit more, I think.

The Sur-Trax are great all round tire, but IMO not a deep mud tire. They are excellent on greasey, hardpack. They do wear fast, on my P-650 they do anyway. Good all-round tire. They ARE NOT 6ply, but are pretty tough for a 2-ply rated tire. I have had NO trouble with mine in 1100 miles of hard trail riding.

I had the Sur-Traks awhile back and liked them alot. They mad a big difference over the stock tires. They were very durable, I run a lot of woods where thorns are very common and never got a flat, the rubber the tire is made of seems more durable than your typical two-ply tire. My tires seemed to wear well, I had mine for about a year with no noticeable wear. I will say that I also like the looks of the new ITP Mud-Lites that are out now. I'm curious if anyone has tried or seen these yet?
