What pipe for my KFX400?
#1
I want a slip-on, with a low rumble sound to it. No discs to replace or any of that, maybe an optional spark arrester, but thats about it. Looking at price range of $250.00 and down. Any suggestions? I'm thinking of either Alba or WB r series. Thanks.----I ride mostly woods/trails and loudness is not really a factor where I ride.

February 2003 issue of ATV Rider has a muffler (Slip on and in some cases full systems) shootout for the Z/KFX, including Dyno results. The testing includes Torque, Horsepower, Noise (dB), Weight savings & Cost. Check it out.

with just a slip on you probably wont have to rejet. If you add a good air filter and the silencer you will need to re-jet. If you are just looking for better sound, you can drill out the pea-shooter on your stock pipe.
