I want to find a less Exspensive filter Than the kawi filter.

 

All oil filters listed below have the right threads for the 650. the 650 does not have the same thread depth problems as many other quads have, so I think all of these filters will work well. Look at the filter mount area, then look at the filter before you buy it to be sure that you won't have any thread depth problems.

WHAT Filter is every one using 03 p650

 

If you can fit it, the Mobil 1 M1-110 is the best filter on that list. If that does in fact fit, run it. It actually is the same size filter as a 1996-00 nissan pathfinder takes. I changed the oil in my friend's yesterday, and kept ragging her because her truck takes the same tiny oil filter as a p650. They are tiny, but the synthetic media really is much more efficient at trapping engine wear metals and contaminants. I think it was $10. I say don't skimp on the quality of your oil filter!! You didn't skimp on the quality of your atv, give the engine the best. I guess it kinda depends if you're the kind of guy who drinks tap water and doesn't take vitamins, or if you're the bottled water/centrum guy.....lol....

Also Amsoil makes their high quality super duty oil filter for the p650, the sdf13. Not sure if they make a dual stage foam air filter for it yet, but they are high quality filters. I have one in my TDI diesel jetta ('02) and my silicon levels are always extremely low in my oil analysis reports.(good air filtration).

 

I use baldwin # B1400 from Ackland Granger
No problems , its a crossover # from one of the filters on nyrocs list

 

it is the same filter that fits a mazda miata with the 1.8 liter engine
