Thanks for the info

That article could have been written from the Kawasaki web site with exception of weight 506lbs. I wasn’t sure if there was 2 articles I could only get one link to work the other error out for me.

ArcheryGuy,

The most detailed, acurate info can be found on this website: KFX700 Info All of the particulars are in metric. But the HP & Torque figures translate to about 47 hp and 43 ft lbs Torgue. It however still doesn't list the weight.

There is talk that the Dual Exhaust will be offered as an option, but I wasn't able to get that option on mine. There is no engine braking other than the normal engine compression. It has split Braking (Seperate front and rear brake levers), 2 piston calipers front and Kawi's sealed wet multi-plate rear. There are a few Threads on this forum that have addition info, just go to the Kawasaki Forum.

The Fuel tank is similar to the Prarie650 tank (I Think?) and I have never heard of them having any troubles.

Mine is suposed to be delivered some time around the end of Feb to the begining of March.

Several of the articals list it as 506lbs, but that is Dry. One can figure that with all of the fluids (Oil, Water, Fuel) full, it will come in a little heavier.

The Service Manager and the owner of the local dealership, have both ridden the KFX700. They told me that it is going to Impress the H**L out of a lot of people. The Service Manager is a 2 Stroke guy and he told me that it is the first 4 Stroke quad that has ever gotten him excited. He also said that the Kawasaki reps told him that the HP sould be somewhere in the 47 to 50 HP area. The amazing part is that it is producing those numbers at only 6500 rpm's. From what he was told, they feel that they have made all of the nessesary improvements to the CVT Trany and that they feel confident that it will hold up to the abuse that can be associated with a Performance machine.

A word of Warning, the first go around on deliveries of the 700 may be limited (Depending on demand), so it might not be a bad idea to go to your local dealer and put your name on one. My dealer ordered 8 of each (Green & Orange), he only expects to get 1 or 2 of them in the first shipment.

I have a dealer spec. sheet. The dry weight is listed as 506 pounds. The exhaust is 2 to1 or single, though there are hard point mounts for another muffler. I can only guess that cost was an issue for duals, as they wanted to target the Raptor list price. I heard duals were put on a preproduction model (and I assume the intake was opened up) and resulted in a 95 MPH run. BS? Who knows.

Email me with any other spec questions.
