Question for NYROC..

I seem to remember a previous post of yours about setting your belt deflection on the extreme low end of the scale and having it squeal at an idle in gear. We just did this to my friends 2 month old 650. We ended up with it about 1.5 mm tighter than it should be and it starts to squeel in gear at an idle after a couple of seconds.
My question is how long did it take yours to stop squealing at an idle in gear?

I don't know. It still squeals at idle. It is faint now, after 600 or 700 miles. And sometimes it fools me into thinking it has stopped by either stopping for a while or squealing so faintly that I don't notice it.
It shifts much smoother this way.
The belt grabs firmly. It grabs with a vengeance. I love it.
Every time I am in a difficult position where I am stuck in a deep hole and I need the yank, it is there. Really strong.
I busted the crap out of one of my fender trim pieces today.
