That's right, it would be interesting. Still, at 75mph, I'd be more comfortable sittin' low on the Raptor rather than high on the Prairie.

Interesting. Actaully a Prairie is Longer(84.8-vs-72),Wider(46.1-vs-43.3) and has a lower seat height(33.7-vs-33.9). I think IF you could get a Prairie to do 75 mph, that it would be rather stable. I guess until somebody does it, we won't know.

My main riding partner is my brother inlaw, he has a stock Raptor. He kicks my butt in every drag race. It is a dead heat until he hits 3rd. At which point he walks away. HOWEVER, he never gets very far in front of me. And best of all it really gets him to think that no matter where we go, though he may be in front, by a couple of bike lenghts, he can't shake me. Everytime we get done I just tell him that I'm on a Utility Quad, and he should be able to kick my butt, but he can't.
It just does't seem right that a 4x4 should even be close to a Raptor, but MINE IS!!!!

My P650 is very stable going 68mph down a paved road. This is totally stock.

I think "taking" is a relative term.

I went riding with some buddies last weekend. Two Raptors, one 400EX, tricked. Me on my big fat heavy ballon-tired P650, and essentially three racing quads.

1) I was #2 in the pack all day long, on winding, sandy, muddy trails. Often times, me and the leader (Raptor) would stop and wait for the other Rap and EX.

2) The Raptor never pulled away from me. When he hammered it, so would I. He might get the jump just because I did not know he was nailing it, but once I responded, he never opened a gap.

3) My "utility" machine kept right there with them in the trails, "S"'s and all. With the solid rear axle, and all that throttle, I was sliding and revving corners right along with them.

I read all the posts all day long about "can this keep up with that" and "will mine outrun a .....". I think it all falls back to driver ability and skill, combined with the machine.

Ok, so, later in the day I DID sink my machine in a river. BUT, they never even tried crossing it....I at least made it across once. My stupidity led to the submersion....it had nothing to do with the bike.

My .02 cents, and I am back quiet....
