Overheating Prarie??
#1
I have a friend who has a Prarie 650. He is having a problem with his temperature light coming on after about 15 or 20 minutes of riding. His fan is working and he has plenty of coolant. Also on time when this happened we could smell antifreeze but could not see where it was coming from. Anyone had aproblem like this before? We have no idea.
Thanks,

I'm not sure . I done a search on this subject and found that mud drying in the radiator has been the cause of this at times. I told my friend to check and make sure the radiator is clean on the front and rear side of the radiator. He is going to check when he gets home from work. I will post what he finds out. Thanks

Had the same type of problem, the pressure cap on radiator was bad, it would build up pressure and blow coolant out the overflow and then would overheat when coolant got low. If there is plenty of coolant, probably not this, but a starting point.
MonteSS is right about checking the radiator for mud, if it isn't keep clean it will over heat, but I'm sure he checked that.
