I went and test drove one this past week. someone had traded it in a couple days before, and the day i drove it, they had put a swingarm skidplate and nerfs on. it already had shock covers and an hour meter, which they said was put on at the dealership, i talked to the mechanic. it only had 15 hours on it. the only bad thing i saw was a faded part on the back right fender. i am considering a kfx or predator. i dont like the saleslady at the kawi dealership tho, she chased me down in a store last night to ask me if i had talked to the bank yet. and she jumped the mechanics butt for letting me ride it without signing the safety release form and wearing a helmet. it was a nice machine. i haven't got to ride a predator yet, hope to next week. i like the color and plastic of the kfx, but i am probably gonna like the power of the predator. if i get a kfx, i will most likely get a new one, and not a used. but just wondering what yall would think of the price for that. oh yeah, and the polaris dealer priced me a predator for $5599 plus tax and all that crap. which i will have to pay that on the kfx too, so not much of a difference on price.

 

Well I can new kfx's up here in wi. for $5000+tax,z-400's for $4900+tax.IMO leave the predator alone its an allright machine but it dosent have reverse.If you like to ride in mud or woods that sure comes in handy.hope this helps....later

 

i think if you would check the nada value you'd find that any one year old used machine will have a retail price of $700 to $900 less than a new one. they drop a lot in price the first year. remember its used weather it has one or a hundred hours on it. the mods don't make any difference on a dealers price i would'nt pay any more than $4,600 out the door. just my 2 cents. i would also want to talk to the previous owner too.

 

My local dealer here in MI was selling the Suz 400 out the door for 5225.00 new. I did not think that sounded to bad.... Good luck and ride everything before you buy so you truly get what you want!

$4495 for KFX400 Here in IL. It's a dealer called Chicago Cycle Center very good people, Add 7.25% sales tax and that's around $4850 OTD plus other dealer fees

 

You need to call and get an out the door price when dealing with Chicago cycle! You are forgeting that they do charge freight and setup. Always work with an out the door #, I cant stress it enough. I am all for the best price but remember that local dealer! Give them a chance not everyone has the high budget for advertising, and more than likely they want you to buy from them. The money is in the accessories not the vehicles.

i got my z400 out the door for 5400.....if you were looking to get a used z400/kfx look on ebay i see them for around 4500 -4700..(if you dont mind used)

 

i'm not looking to buy a used machine. just wondering if that was a decent price for that one. gonna ride a predator tomorrow if its not raining. i have tried to reply to yall, but this damn thing won't let me sign in, it would always say sign in successful, but then it would take me right back to the sign in screen. i finally got it this time. and reverse is not a necessity to me.
