Default 100 hour belt check indicator light. reset?????

The 100 hour belt check light came on at 100 Hours. It is not blinking and I still have 4x4 and full power . My question is how to turn it off ? Is it just like resetting the belt failure detection system when the light is flashing and the engine and 4x4 is affected? ( by the way the belt is fine and in adjustment) Any help would be appreciated.

Above the belt cover you will find some wires, there are 2 connectors which are 6 pin connectors, one is gray, one is black, disconnect them and plug the gray into the black on both plugs, then unplug the belt deflection switch, turn your key on for approximately 7 to 10 seconds. Turn the key off, hook the gray plug in back together and the black ones back together, plug in the deflection switch and you are done! Hope this is clear enuf, if not let me know and I will try to help.

Yes, I have had to reset a couple lights,,,, first time I called the Kaw dealer and they were lost,,, didn't have a clue! They ended up calling in to Kaw and then they let me know what to do. Hey Nightryder888,,, we have the ATRs right now too,,, the rears work great but I'm not too happy with the fronts, the side walls give too much in hard cornering. We rode in snow last weekend which later became mud as the temp reached the 50's. We also had a 650 with All Traks on it there,,, they handled better in my opinion than the ATRs. The ATRs do make the landings off the jumps a little smoother tho.

I love the ATR,s but dont run them in the winter at all. I will put them on after spring breakup they plain smoke on hardpack. I run 26 in Mudlites in the winter. This is a great combo I keep both sets mounted the ATR,s on stock rims. I am ready for anything mud or snow I run the lites if hard pack I run the ATR,s. I spent alot of time trying to finde one tire to do it all.(pipe dream at best)For what I do this combo smokes(but I ride in Montana)If I rode deep mud and no snow my choise would be much different.

Trx450 You are lucky it freaked me out and worse I was towed by a Yamaha .(I am such a fool)The guys were making me break the trail in deep snow The mudlites just smoke in the snow (roost big time) and all the sudden I just sunk and stoped.I looked down and the belt failure light was on and it was in two wheel drive (in my minde this means A. The belt had a problem.(I felt nothing it just went into 2 wheel drive and sunk) B. The belt failure indacation system has failed. Both are bad it ment I was miles from any help stuck in deep snow with no 4 wheel drive and Rev limited by the belt fialure system (you know the light is on you did read it would do this in the book after you are no fool) and my friends no place in sight. So I start trying to turn the beast around and one of the guys shows up and offers to tow me out (what a fool am I)after getting stuck many times while getting towed . I realized that I had full power just no 4x4 (what a fool I can be)I looked down and the light was still on but I happened to notice that the switch was in the two wheel drive poisition (I must have bumped the switch what a fool)I hit the switch and dam it worked I was in 4x4 we un hooked and I smoked him back to the other guys.(In hope of lieing my way outa this embairsment before my help showed up) They are still laughing.
