I had the same problem with my kawi 650, 5 trips to the dealer later they finally found the problem. The choke cable was all screwed up and was choking out one cylinder with the choke off. I think they had to fasten the cable cable in a few more spots because when i would turn the handle bars it would move the cable making the one cylinder way to rich. It was an easy fix but took forever to find the problem.

I agree, get that choke cable a good look over. On my '02 650, I had the same problems & it turned out to be the choke cable & springs.

Ya wanna know the funny thing is we all know how bad the original choke cable is.

When my quad was under warranty I pushed to have that damn thing replaced but they weren't any real symtoms yet.

Now when it's on my bill i'm looking at springs, carb and valve adjustments most likely from those *hitty faulty springs in the first place.

So everyone is thinking i should just have the springs replaced first and have them readjust everything and then start on the mods?

Any thoughts on the temp. affect on adjusting new jets? It should be close to the 50's this week.
