Default Jetting Question

OK I'm just about ready to pay off the 650 (1yr 0% fin), and have ordered some basic mods.

1. Black Spring
2. K&N Filter
3. Snorkel

When the CDI is available, am planning to do it and the Pro Circut T4.

I am planning to jet it after the exhaust and CDI, but don't know if it needs re-jetting with only the filter/snorkel.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

Default Jetting Question

If you are getting the CDI, get the red spring along with the black spring it raise's the upshift rpm from 6000 rpm to 6500 rpm and with the extra advance with the black box will accelerate quicker than with the stock primary spring, ingagement with the red spring go's from 1600 rpm stock to about 2000-2100 rpm, some say they don't like the red spring as it engages to hard, to be honest this hasn't been the case with mine, i like both spring's, after you ride with both and learn how to work the throttle when pulling out it does great in my opinion, the biggest thing that helped with mine is I raised my idle speed closer to the red spring engagement point, I think the 650's have to idle to low anyway with the stock spring, and raiseing the idle rpm about 400-500 rpm, reduces the wind-up (lag) before it engages. Mine done this way engages close to stock, but if I hammer the throttle it engages hard, I say do give it a chance, I feel you must raise the idle rpm to get these result's though.......
