Anybody watch ATV TV last night?

On the show last night that had a 1/2 hour review on the KFX 700. They all liked it very much and looked very fast. The only bad thing they said about it was the limited choice of colors! Wow! I might buy one but it cost $6500 thats a little out of my range, but I bet it's worth every cent! It also looked very awesome on the trail and espically in the dunes

Hi Ole,Yes i saw the show & what a show it was.The KFX was awesome on the trails & in the dunes. It sure caught a lot of air for a big machine,& plenty of power in the dunes. How about them uphill wheelies. Although i don't always agree with ole Doug , he does know how to ride. O.K. in the whoop de do's too, looks like great suspension. The holeshots did a good job in the dirt & sand. If realiability is no issue , you will be seeing a lot of these quads, especially for the bigger boys. Being an auto & shaft drive would not be an issue with me, after what i've seen, or the weight either. That thing looked good in the air & landed straight on. Very manuverable on the trails. If i were the Jay Leno of ATV's , i'd have one in my garage.

I saw that program too. I was impressed with how nimble it looked. The way they were darting through the trees on that GNCC course was simply amazing - especially considering the 500 pound weight of the machine. And what an awesome duner! Those video clips of them dune riding were so cool.

I quit watching ATV TV for a long time but heard this was going to be reviewed so I watched the episode. This was the best episode I ever saw on ATV TV - it's about frigging time they did a real review of a sport quad. For once I say Kudos to ATV TV. Let's hope for more of this type of show.
About the quad. Ok, I admit I was pretty impressed with what I saw. Seems to jump well and the suspension looked like it had pleny more travel to go then they were using. Seemed to wheelie easy and have plenty of power. I don't know if I care for the rear brake lever and foot brake though - but it can't hurt I guess. I thought the forward/reverse control was unique but would worry that if I came down wrong my hand could slip and knock it into reverse while going forward. It's hard to tell though from watching it on TV.
The quad isn't really very big looking at all but seems to sit a little tall (remember the quy at the dunes falling off). It could be a little longer/lower/wider for my liking but that's just me. Looks like a nice machine. I can't wait to whoop up on one with my Banshee (Just kidding).

Wyo Duner,
The Forward/Reverse selector has a button that has to be depressed before it can be shifted. I guess it is possible to shift it by accident, but it is not likely. It does take some effort to shift and you would have to move it 2 positions to get from Drive to Reverse. Most likely the worst that could happen is to go from Drive to Nuteral.

I don't get that ATV program. Were they running the stock ITP tires on it during the dune riding, or did they have paddles on it? Need to know if I need to pick up a set before heading to the dunes in a week or two.
