Finally A Dealer I Can Trust
#1
I know what you are thinking a good Dealer is there really such a thing. Well I can tell you there is I had the chance to meat with Ted Nabors from Saskatchewan last Saturday where we discussed in length the problems and fixes of the 650. He is very up on his Kawi and is very forth coming about anything you wish to discuss not like most dealers. Most outfits I would not let them changed spark plugs let alone play with the belt adjustment. The wives were pretty much left out of the conversation so we didn't get right into the nitty gritty until the next day when Ted and John another Kawi enthusiast joined me at my home in the Toy Shop.
I had previously retrofitted my Kawi back to stock except muffler mod, jets, DG snorkel and some minor stuff plus the most interesting modd was the frequency generator. The fellows were very interested in the extreme hard takeoff that the modulator produced, unfortunately the top end is lacking with the modulator. The new cdi when it is here will have full benefits from take off right up to the top end. I don't think they have seen a 650 that is modified as much as mine plus some of the potential I showed to them. I must say Ted is committed to us the Kawasaki enthusiast with enfisis in getting his customers to come back for service or the all important after market goodies which we all enjoy. I have finally found a dealer I can trust and believe me it has been extremely difficult to have confidence in person to hand over the keys say fix it please and know that it will be done right the first time.
Oh yes Ted if you are reading this I received my new cams in the mail today with any luck I will have them in the 650 this weekend. Will let everybody know how they work soon I hope.

Glad to hear you gor your cams, I'm really interested to see how they turn out for you. With the cams and box you shouldn't have any trouble with that pesky little raptor. LOL.
I really don't think we deserve all the good things you said about us, we do have our share of problems as well, however our moto around here is that we arn't going to do something unless we are going to be the best at it, and I think bieng a family buisness has alot to do with the way you treat your costomers. If we screw somthing up call me personally, I'll make things happen. We hope to offer a service to everyone that is unmached in the canadian atv industry. We believe we sell the best product out of the crate and know what the potential of these atvs are. Hence the goodie department. Alltoys, thanks for the great tour and test drive it was nice to see the enthusiasm you have in our sport.

Steelhead,
I hear you about the border charges they are outrageous fortuneatly Ted can buy in quantity the same as us but he only gets charged once so he can pass the savings on to us Canucks. Our dealers in Canada buy from one supplier who buys in large quantity this is good except they are a year behind when it comes to after market goodies. That is why you go to your parts guy ask him how much something is and they say what are you talking about, they don't bother to look on the net to get the latest news. Ted is the only fellow that is willing to listen and is interested in his product enough to go the extra mile. He came to Edmonton so he can't be all that bad LOL, brought the wife too. Mind you he didn't bring me a 700 to play with, darn!!!!

I should thank the person who put me onto the dealer in Saskatchewan, I think he is kaw650 my memory is good just not long. The post was to do with prices of the black spring through EPI and the charges accompanied with the delivery from the US. If you know who you are let me know so I can acknowledge you too. Your advise was forthcoming thanks again.

Alltoys,
What kind of performance gains were you looking for by installing the new cams? Also, are you installing new valve springs as well? Keep us posted, I always like to read about your mods.
