Best Tires for 650?
#23
Does anyone know what the largest tire you can put on a P650, without a
lift kit. I am looking at Titan 589s MT 27x11-12 rear 27x9-12 front. I am
wondering if they will fit ok. Do I have to go with a 26? I need ground
clearance in the mud and don't want a lift kit.

I used to use 28" mudzillas on mine. but I sold em. They fit, no lift. They fit better without added spacing (or they rub slightly on the outer corner of the headlight). Therefore, douglass wheels or stockers tend to be better for tall tires in front than ITP wheels.
I wish some more people would talk about which is better, ITP ATR or maxxis all traks. Someone around here rode with quads that had all traks and ATRs on them and they said the All traks worked better.

Is it that the ITP wheels have a different offset and rub on the front?
I need to find the right size wheel/tire combo. I was going to get steel
wheels, to save moiney, but I guess the aluminum wheels would offset the
added weight of the heavier tires.

Yes, that is right Tdude.
I often sound like I don't like ITP wheels. I like them plenty, but since I have owned both ITP and douglas, I like the douglas ones a lot better.
Douglas wheels can be really tight at first, but that goes away after a few mountings (or a little sanding). After that, they work great.
